Meet the MAX6MUM SECURITY Team

Over the past month we have seen some major changes to our sales team with the arrival of three regional Sales Managers and a new National Sales Manager, Dee Chamberlain. With these new team members, Pat McGinn in Ireland and Sealco looking after Scotland we now have all regions covered.

Being able to offer all of our customers a local Sales Representative is great, however we thought offering our customers their own Sales team would be even better. So we teamed up each of our external Sales Managers with an internal Customer Advisor.

North

Barry Halpin and Andy Bolton make up the local sales team for the North.

Barry has joined UAP as the Northern Sales Area Manager. Barry is mad about sports and is a keen footballer and golfer.
Interesting Fact: Barry once queued for 3 hours to be hit on the head by Timmy Mallet.

Andy is the football fanatic in the Sales team and travels far and wide to watch his team play, the team however cannot be mentioned around the UAP office.
Interesting Fact: At 20, Andy is the youngest member of the UAP family.

Midlands

Dee Chamberlain and Mandy Morley make up the local sales team for the Midlands.

Dee has joined UAP as the National Sales Manager, in her spare time Dee is a keen runner and chocolate lover. Dee can also often be found spreading words of wisdom on Twitter and Linkedin.
Interesting fact: Dee has met Madonna in a Gym in New York.

When you call into UAP Mandy is often the friendly voice on the other side of the phone. Mandy recently headed over to Las Vegas with Dee for the Just Cars exhibition.
Interesting fact: Mandy has a black belt in Karate.

South East

Tony Hill and Zoe Everett make up the local sales team for the South East.

Tony has been in the Fenestration industry for 25 years, when he isn’t out meeting customers he is kept busy at home with his wife and three boys.
Interesting fact: Tony is a certified Scuba Diver and holds a Power Boat License.

Zoe has been a part of the UAP team for three years, when she isn’t at work providing excellent customer service Zoe is at home with her family, out swimming or finding time to relax with a good book.
Interesting fact: Zoe was in a school play with Coronation Street actor Anthony Cotton.

South West

Andrew Grosvenor and Emily Dover make up the South West Sales Team.

Andrew has joined us as the South West Sales Area Manager, in his spare time Andrew is a Motorcycle enthusiast. He can be found travelling up and down the UK following British Superbike Racing.
Interesting Fact: On his first skiing holiday to Austria, Andy entered the towns yearly Slalom race day and placed 11th out of 110 entries.

When Emily isn’t busy looking after UAP’s customers she is busy giving Mary Berry a run for her money baking. Emily is also an animal lover and has 2 rabbits at home.
Interesting Fact: Emily once presented Gordon Brown with an award.

Ireland

Pat McGinn is on hand to take care of all our customers in Ireland.

Pat has been a locksmith since 1985 and has brought his skills and expertise to the UAP team. Pat is a sport fanatic favouring fishing, football and rugby.
Interesting Fact: Pat trained as a Locksmith in America.

MAX6MUM SECURITY Retail Team

Ben Jennings and Paul Roberts make up the MAX6MUM SECURITY Retail Team.

Ben heads up the newly launched MAX6MUM SECURITY retail division. In his spare time Ben is a keen water polo player playing competitively.
Interesting Fact: Ben is highly skilled in Aikido.

Paul has joined us as the Northern Retail Sales Manager. When he is not at out introducing MAX6MUM SECURITY to retailers he is at home with his wife and children.
Interesting Fact: Paul’s wife Michelle made the delicious MAX6MUM SECURITY cupcakes for the FIT Show.

UAP Limited’s FIT Show Review

For the past few months there has been one favoured topic of conversation as everyone eagerly awaited the arrival of the Fabricators Installers Trade Show. With all eyes in the industry watching the FIT Show to see if the years of hard work and hundreds of thousands of pounds spent were worth it, there was a lot of pressure on the organisers. However I think everyone will agree it was a fantastic show.

We enjoyed great success with an almost consistently packed stand with visitors coming to see all of our new products, indulge in cupcakes and have a bit of fun with a game of Table Football against Leeds Legends Norman Hunter and Paul Reaney and our very own Maxettes.

There was a definite buzz about the place, and it was great to catch up with customers old and new. It was also really nice to see everyone getting involved in a little friendly competition on the Football Table and stop for a photo with Norman and Paul.

Our brand mascot Max received a fantastic reception from visitors and exhibitors alike who were all happy to stop and strike a pose for the camera with him. UAPs National Sales Manager, Dee Chamberlain, says “Max proved to be very popular with everyone, he was great for pulling people onto our stand. If any customers would like to take advantage of Max’s pulling power we can bring him down to trade counters for the day to help them promote MAX6MUM SECURITY.”

We headed down to the FIT Show with quite a few new products to show to our customers, but our stunning new i-Plate was the showstopper. The revolutionary letterplate has a frameless design and corrosion proof construction. With a unique soft close feature and moulded in rubber brushes the i-Plate sets its self apart from anything else on the market.

Once on our stand visitors were given the tour of everything that we have to offer, one of the highlights being our 3 ways to 3 stars. Guests received a preview of our soon to be released 3 Star Kinetica Super Cylinder and our 2 Star MAX6MUM SECURITY Cylinder Guard.

Several people stopped to admire our colourful fish tank which was demonstrating just how tough our Nanocoast® range is. Our new Nanocoast door handles also went down a storm with their Free Lifetime Guarantee.

UAP’s Managing Director David Jennings said: “We were really impressed with the FIT Show and were happy with all of the comments we received from visitors. People were really interested in our new ranges and were particularly keen on our new MAX6MUM SECURITY app which will be ready for release soon.

“Our aim for the FIT Show was to use it as a platform to meet with current customers and new customers, and to provide them with somewhere to go to take a break, relax and have a bit of fun. It also gave us a chance to introduce people to our new Sales Team. I’d like to thank everyone who came to our stand for the warm welcome we received and for playing along with us.”

We have been busy here at UAP developing several innovative new products to be launched at the FIT Show.

MAX6MUM SECURITY 2 Star Handle

To help our customers comply with the new TS007 3* standards we are releasing a high quality, ergonomically designed 2 star handle range that is packed with state of the art features.The MAX6MUM SECURITY 2 Star Handle has an integrated cylinder guard adding extra protection against lock snapping. The handle also has self-adhesive tabs to add to the attack resistance, assist in easy fitting and to aid water penetration resistance.

The handle is Secured by Design and is available in Black, White, Gold and Silver Anodised and is made from aerospace grade aluminium.

NANOCOAST® Door Handles

For doors located in coastal regions or highly polluted areas then our new Nanocoast® Door Handles are perfect. In these areas salt and acid rain attack the coatings making them tarnish very quickly, Nanocoast® products don’t.

The Nanocoast® Door Handles are made from high grade Stainless Steel, SS304, and have been salt spray tested to ASTM B117 for 2000 hours. They have been designed to last a lifetime.

These door handles are available in our standard range and our MAX6MUM SECURITY 2 Star range. They come in Satin Silver Stainless Steel, Mirror Polished Stainless Steel and PVD Gold finishes, and in two backplate sizes; 219mm and 243mm.

Revolutionary NEW iPlate®

At the FIT Show we will be launching a revolutionary new letterplate, the iPlate®. It has been a long time since anyone has done anything different with the design of the letterplate and so we thought it was time to do something about this.

We wanted the iPlate to offer something different and to eliminate the flaws found on other letterplates, so we consulted with the Royal Mail during design. The iPlate provides a solution to fingers getting caught and to bristles falling off. It has also been constructed to be corrosion proof.

The iPlate has a modern look that sets it apart visually to all other letterplates – but we’re not going to tell you why. You’ll have to come and visit us on stand 2-110 at the FIT Show to see what makes the iPlate a step up from the norm.

New Sales Force Sweeps into UAP

We’ve made a few changes here over the past few weeks and this has included the introduction of four new additions to the Sales team.

The new team members will be positioned all over the UK giving us National Sales coverage, meaning that our customers will have dedicated local representatives.

Our new Northern Sales Area Manager, Barry Halpin , and Southern Sales Area Manager, Andrew Grosvenor, joined our team last week. Since starting they have been busy introducing themselves to all of our customers.

Two new Sales representatives will be joining us over the next few weeks, Dee Chamberlain will be coming on board as the National Sales Manager, Dee will be based in the Midlands, and Tony Hill will be our new South East Sales Area Manager.

We have also made a change within the current Sales team and so Ben Jennings will be making a move to look after our new MAX6MUM SECURITY retail range.

Alongside current Sales team members, Andy Bolton and Zoe Everett, we now feel that we have a strong sales force with highly capable, experienced and industry aware representatives. This will benefit our customers greatly as they will have a dedicated representative who will be on hand to answer all enquiries or stop by for a chat about our latest products.

UAP TradeLocks A Hit at The Locksmiths’ Exhibition

We enjoyed great success at the recent Locksmiths’ Exhibition with visitors flocking to our stand to try out the new Letterbox Tool Video Goggles and to take advantage of our exclusive show prices.

The TradeLocks team were kept busy demonstrating the latest accessory for Pink’s Letterbox Tool, our new Video Goggles. The Video Goggles went down really well. We received some really positive feedback with visitors telling us that they were a ‘really good idea’ and ‘incredibly useful as they free up your hands.’

We also launched the latest offering from Chris Belcher, the Super Snapper Bar. This tool is surprisingly small but incredibly strong and effective, it can be used to bypass features often used in anti-snap euro profile cylinders. The CB Super Snapper Bar proved to be very popular meaning we had to make a quick stop to UAP headquarters to restock for the second day.

Irish Sales and Customer Care representative Pat McGinn flew over for the show to help demonstrate the tools and to answer any questions. Pat said: “We were really happy with the turnout; we were rushed off our feet with a constant flow of traffic to our stand. It was great to meet all of our TradeLocks’ customers and see their reactions to our new tools.

“Our show prices were received really well and it was really impressive to see how quick people could pick with the EPG2.”
