At UAP Limited and Tradelocks, our main aim is to bring “quality products that don’t cost the earth”, that’s why we are committed to finding out what our valued customers want and need and to then provide them with high quality, yet affordable products. To help us, help you, we appreciate every piece of feedback we receive and try our best to improve upon them whether they are good or bad comments.

Recent research has shown that “social media is Brit’s favourite online activity” (http://bit.ly/evIXJT), and with the substantial rise in the number of smart phones, we have recently undergone a massive marketing change by increasing our online presence in the form of social media networking with websites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and a Blog. This way we can constantly update our followers and friends on these sites in real time with industry news, promotions, upcoming events and what our staff are currently working on!

These online tools also make it so much easier for customers to contact us with any views they may have. For example, on our Facebook account, Alockout Locksmiths commented on our page to say, “Best euros I have fitted. Wouldn’t use any other. Gets my thumbs up. Great product, great value and great service”.  We have also used Facebook and YouTube to upload videos of Pickbuster, exhibitions and Lishi training courses. We then asked what people want to see more videos of in the future. The most popular answer was ‘tool tutorials’, so we are now working on this and hope to upload videos of Pickgun and Lishi tool tutorials in the near future. On Twitter, @prospectlocks12 told us he’d had a busy day covering the whole of Kent! @locksexpress tweeted us to tell us they had had their photo with @Queenie_Lishi at The Locksmiths’ Exhibition 2011, which @locksmith2010 told us he was looking forward to attending! We also run a ‘Follow Friday’ every week and mention everyone who tweets or comments us to our network of our 500 people on Facebook and Twitter at the end of the day.

But this is just the start of a bright future for UAP Limited and Tradelocks and the locksmithing industry with regards to online social and business networking. The Marketing team is currently in the process of developing a huge online, fun and lighthearted promotional competition that should be launching in June with the aim of interacting more with customers and offering the opportunity to win huge prizes as a reward to those who participate.
